Art Studio residency for my MFA move in day today!! So glad to have my favorite studio again.  Will be documenting what happens during this next 4 weeks.  The adventure begins......

Going through old work, found this
wall calendar journal I did some time ago.
Took a lot of sewing as I recall, so thought I
would not be doing any more. But I really
like the texture of the sewing with all the
different papers.

Doing a swap with a great group of ladies on Roses on my Table site.  Always supportive of each other and wonderfully creative.  Great to have this kind of support around when there are dark and dreary days like today.   Some days you feel alone, and yet its nice to know groups of people like this group are there when you need that connection.

These images look almost Steampunk in a way.

Ladies with Hats

ATC's for an ART 42 swap using Fornasetti images. If you dont think you know who Fornasetti is you are wrong. This face has to be one of the most used images in the art world. Piero Fornasetti (1813-1988) made over 500 variations of this face. Based on opera singer Lina Cavalleri, this is one of the most recognized faces in the art world next to the Mona Lisa.
